Cyber Monday BOGO Sale

December 1, 2014 By Robin King 1 Comment

Good morning, friends!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, enjoying food, family and friends. Jack and I traveled to Michigan to spend the holiday weekend with my son, Zachary. His girlfriend and her family were with us, and Jack’s son, Brian, drove up from Ohio for the weekend. We’ve had a great time, but just like each of you, it’s back to reality today. But wait, it’s Cyber Monday. Do you shop online today? Black Friday is not for me, however, I’m a big supporter of Small Business Saturday, and any holiday gift I can’t find Saturday, I’m on the computer today looking for the best deal out there. Well I’m here to offer you some assistance with your shopping!

BOGOBOGO SALE! Everyone likes to buy one, get one, right? And my made fresh in Florida artisan dressings make awesome gifts for anyone; hostess gift, stocking stuffer, work gift exchange, something for your boss, or one for each of your employees. There will be no cheaper way to make that happen than today. Whatever you order on my website today, until midnight, I’ll double. One 3-pack sampler, I’ll send two. Order a case of your favorite, you’ll get two. Just go to www.outoftheweeds.com, click shop, and I’ll do the rest.

Happy cyber shopping everyone. I hope that you’ll add my site to your list today!

A Week in the Life of a Restaurant Owner

As former winner of Best New Business, and Best Established Business, I was asked over the summer to present the Best New Business Award at the LocalShops1 Sixth Anniversary Celebration and Best In Biz Awards. This caused me to reflect on the last five years at Three Birds Tavern, especially the first two. What could […]

Carrot Cocktails? Indeed!

Carrot Mimosas and Carrot and Cilantro Coolers were served at our Out of the Weeds Product Launch Party October 23rd, and I’ve received texts, emails and Facebook messages asking for the recipes. I guess you liked them. As we were planning the menu for the party, I collaborated with Three Birds Tavern talented hospitality princess, […]

Who doesn’t love a party?

October 30, 2014 By Robin King 4 Comments

par·ty1 – ˈpärdē/ noun – a social gathering of invited guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment. Eating? Drinking? Entertainment? Like I said, who doesn’t love a party? But there are parties, and then there are PARTIES. I used to love throwing parties; birthday, Super Bowl, New Year’s Eve, graduation, Mardi Gras, 4th of July, Thanksgiving dinner, […]

Out of the Weeds Product Launch Party

October 19, 2014 By Robin King 2 Comments

Dear friends, Even though I have two dozen things going on simultaneously, including a careless fall to be followed by foot surgery, I’m so grateful that my friends, and partners in crime, most especially THE Saucy Queen of Intensity Academy Gourmet Sauces, Ester Venouziou of LocalShops1 and Petra Dvorak of Simple With Style Events, convinced me […]

The Interesting People We’ve Come to Know – Take 1

Mooney – You Annoy Us When You’re Here, But We Miss You When You’re Not My husband has always told me that there is a very fine line between good people and bad people, and I’m adding to that; there is also a fine line between sanity and lunacy. We’ve met thousands of people at Three Birds Tavern, […]

More Than Salad Dressing

More Than Salad Dressing

Did you know that you can use salad dressing to marinate your beef, chicken, pork and seafood? Use part of your bottle of Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette, Roasted Beet Vinaigrette or Carrot Ginger as a marinade, and then use the remainder of the bottle on your accompanying salad and you have a complete, complimentary, meal. Guidelines: […]

We didn’t realize we were making memories . . .

We didn’t realize we were making memories . . .

. . . we just thought we were having fun. I’ve maintained contact with several friends from my childhood; elementary, junior and senior high, over the years, however, Facebook has expanded the group, and there’s been something about us all turning 50 that has stirred our desire to reconnect in person in addition to our […]
